EuroSun 2006 was supported by the European Commission Intelligent Energy Europe Programme  Agreement No. EIE/SSE/05/032/S12.418438.

The objectives of the EuroSun 2006 conference were:

·      To disseminate the latest knowledge on advances in solar and other renewable energy technologies to a European marketplace,

·      To promote education on solar energy in Europe (particularly in schools)

·      To promote the use of solar energy in Europe.

·      To demonstrate the potential for the use of renewable energy technologies to contribute to European energy supply (electricity, heat and fuel) and the potential for reduction of energy consumption in buildings.

The EuroSun 2006 action was divided into 4 Work Packages
